The Scottsdale Football Club enters the 2026 season with renewed optimism and pride. Our club continues to grow as a united and vibrant football community, with strong energy across our junior, youth, women’s, and senior programs. This year marks an exciting new chapter as we strengthen our pathways, elevate our coaching structure, and build on the values that define the Magpies.
We are proud to welcome Ethan Petterwood as Senior Coach for 2026. Ethan brings extensive experience across Tasmanian, interstate, and VFL football, combined with a modern, development focused coaching approach. Supported by experienced assistants Cameron Walker and Josh Nunn, Ethan will lead our senior program while also shaping a consistent, club wide coaching framework. This framework will align junior, youth, and senior development, ensure coaches across the club are supported, and create clear progression pathways for every player.
Our commitment to women’s football also continues to strengthen with Andrew Arnold stepping into the role of Senior Women’s Coach. Andrew brings positivity, inclusiveness, and a strong focus on confidence and connection — qualities that align with our club’s strategic plans values. His leadership will continue to support a competitive, united, and sustainable women’s program.
Youth development remains a priority as we prepare the next generation of Magpies. Troy Milne will again lead our Under 18s, focusing on growth, opportunity, and readiness for senior football. Denham Hall is taking on a playing coach role in our Development League, ensuring strong alignment between youth and senior programs. Alongside them, Cable Hall, Head of Development, will oversee pathways and retention to ensure our junior talent continues to progress confidently into higher levels of football.
Our junior program continues to be the heartbeat of the club. With dedicated coaches, committed volunteers, supportive families, and passionate young players, our NTJFA teams remain a source of enormous pride. A key focus for 2026 is delivering positive, enjoyable, and well structured football experiences where every child feels welcomed, valued, and excited to return each season. Guided by the Junior Coaching Framework, our coaches emphasise fairness, connection, skill development, and learning through structured, age appropriate training. Their work is supported by Jordan Harper (Junior Development Officer) and Ben Coxen (Junior Coach Development Convenor), who lead professional development, session planning support, and alignment across all junior grades by working closely with Senior Coach Ethan Petterwood and Head of Development Cable Hall.
As we continue our journey in the Premier League, we welcome all new members, volunteers, families, and supporters. Whether you join us to play, to help behind the scenes, or to cheer proudly on the boundary, there is a place for you at the Scottsdale Football Club. Our club represents the entire North East community, and we are committed to remaining inclusive, welcoming, and deeply connected to the people who support us.
Our 2026 memberships provide outstanding value, including free entry to all senior men’s, women’s, and junior home games. Each membership directly supports more than 250 players, our coaching programs, our junior pathways, and the volunteers and sponsors who make our success possible.
The future of football in the North East is bright, and the Scottsdale Football Club is proud to lead the way. Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we are building something truly special.
Go Magpies.
